Naara, the one with a young and vivacious spirit,
Naara, our concept of life
Leila Oliveira and Pablo Renk built Naara with their own hands from the heart.
Pablo is an architect and that led to the design and construction of Naara Eco-Lodge.
Pablo has previous experience in designing and constructing holiday accommodation in Timor-Leste. The use of materials found in the surroundings of Chidenguele and the design of a building that brings out the nature and the climate for the utmost comfort is the main feature of Naara.
Apart from constructing the lodge, Pablo loves to take our visitors on adventures, especially kite-surfing, spear-fishing and snorkeling.
Leila has been working with rural development and humanitarian relief in Southern Africa since 2001 and is in the front line of most of our community projects. Leila’s passion for African adventures and the ability to establish relationship with the local community represented important elements during the creation of Naara.
Naara Eco-lodge was conceptualized, designed and built by ourselves over a period of three years. We also proudly live in Chidenguele and manage the lodge ourselves, thus ensuring the best service while we can also enjoy our little heaven.
We believe that life has to be lived to the fullest, but without negatively that affects others or our planet. We believe in bringing comfort and lust in a symbiotic manner with nature and local communities. Thus, we strive to ensure that our visitors, nature and the community benefit from each other.
